Welcome to Nrityamanjari
A boutique Bharatanatyam, Bollywood and NrityaFit™ studio — built on purpose, centered on small classes, personal attention, and decades of teaching experience.
Nrityamanjari is still young — and we hope to remain thoughtfully small for years to come.
Nestled in Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, our studio was created with a simple belief: dance flourishes where every student is truly seen. Each class is intentionally kept small, allowing time for individual guidance, meaningful corrections, and genuine artistic growth.
As evening falls, the studio comes alive with diverse journeys. Working professionals leave behind the pace of the day, young dancers discover discipline and confidence, and women who once believed they had danced their last step rediscover the quiet joy of movement.
Growth has never been our measure of success. We choose depth over scale, nurturing each student with patience, care, and consistency. Every class is an opportunity to build not only stronger dancers, but more confident individuals.
This is the foundation on which Nrityamanjari continues to grow — one student, one family, and one meaningful connection at a time.
Rooted in the Kalakshetra tradition of Bharatanatyam, Nrityamanjari is guided by a philosophy that values discipline, precision, humility, and artistic integrity. Every class draws upon decades of dedicated learning, performance, and teaching, while honouring the timeless spirit of the guru–shishya parampara.
Each class is limited to eight students, allowing every learner to receive thoughtful guidance, careful correction, and the time needed for genuine artistic growth.
We affectionately call our community NrityaFam. It emerged naturally as students returned week after week, growing not only as dancers, but alongside one another.
Founder, Principal Guru & Artistic Director
Rashmi's journey with Bharatanatyam began at the age of five and has since evolved into a lifelong pursuit of artistic excellence. A graduate of Kalakshetra, where she graduated first in her class, she has devoted decades to the study, performance, and teaching of Indian classical dance.
Over the years, she has taught at leading schools in Bhopal and abroad, choreographed acclaimed productions, and mentored generations of students with the same care and discipline that shaped her own training.
At Nrityamanjari, she brings together the rigour of the Kalakshetra tradition with a deeply personal approach to teaching — guiding every student with patience, precision, and the conviction that true artistry flourishes through individual attention.

At Nrityamanjari, we believe dance is not measured by how quickly it is learned, but by how deeply it is understood.
Technique is important, but it is only the beginning. True learning happens when every student is given the time to be seen, corrected with care, encouraged with patience, and inspired to discover their own artistic voice. This is why our classes remain intentionally small and why every lesson is approached with purpose rather than haste.
Rooted in the timeless values of the guru–shishya parampara, we see dance not simply as a performance, but as a lifelong practice that nurtures discipline, confidence, creativity, and character.
Whether a student dreams of the stage, seeks the joy of movement, or simply wishes to reconnect with themselves through dance, our purpose remains the same: to guide every individual with sincerity, respect, and unwavering care.
Each class is limited to eight students, allowing every learner to receive thoughtful guidance, careful correction, and the time needed for genuine artistic growth.
Progress is earned through demonstrated mastery, never simply through time spent in the room. Every class asks for discipline, but always with patience, encouragement, and care.
Everything we do points toward one thing: students growing as people, not just as dancers.
Performance and steady progress build a quiet, unshakeable belief in oneself.
Structured attendance and steady progression become habits that carry well beyond the studio.
Abhinaya and movement become the language when words simply aren't enough.
Dance is movement, endurance, and wellbeing — all wrapped in something genuinely beautiful.
A studio culture rooted in guru-shishya values creates real belonging, not just attendance.
Every level cleared is an intimate, measurable milestone in a much bigger personal journey.
Each programme at Nrityamanjari is taught with the same care, discipline, and individual attention. Class sizes are intentionally kept small, creating the space for every student to learn, grow, and flourish at their own pace.

At Nrityamanjari, students arrive for many different reasons. Some seek the discipline of Bharatanatyam. Others come looking for movement, confidence, friendship, or simply an hour each week that belongs entirely to themselves.
Whether you are taking your very first steps in dance or returning after many years away, you will be welcomed with patience, encouragement, and respect for your own journey.

No previous experience is required. Only a willingness to begin.
Our Social Commitment
Because every child deserves the opportunity to dance
At Nrityamanjari, we believe that talent should never be limited by financial circumstances. For every class we offer, one place is reserved as a scholarship seat for a student whose family would otherwise be unable to access dance education. We are honoured to support our first scholarship student today, and as our community grows, we hope to open that door to many more.
For us, sharing the art is not simply an act of teaching — it is a responsibility.
Some journeys begin in our studio. Others begin thousands of kilometres away.
Nrityamanjari welcomes students from around the world through live online classes that preserve the same care, structure, and individual guidance as our in-person teaching. Wherever you learn from, every session remains personal, interactive, and rooted in the values of the Kalakshetra tradition.
Also available through selected learning platforms. Students who prefer to learn through established online learning platforms can also find Ms. Rashmi's classes on selected international and Indian education marketplaces, including:
Students who successfully complete the prescribed curriculum at Nrityamanjari are awarded the Nrityamanjari Certificate of Completion.
This certificate recognises not only the completion of a structured programme of study, but also the discipline, perseverance, and artistic development that define every student's path.
From the stage to the studio, these moments capture the artistry, discipline, and joy that define life at Nrityamanjari. Every photograph tells a story — of learning, performing, growing, and celebrating dance together.
Our studio gallery will continue to grow as new classes, rehearsals, performances, and celebrations become part of the Nrityamanjari story.
